It's a rare sight to see the highway not filled with cars on a workday, especially LDP (Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong). Took this photo with my cell phone to prove that miracles do exist.
This photo was taken when the skies were a little cloudy. One of my friend said it looked a little like NFS poster. I pimped the colours a little to add them feels.
For those who are not familiar with LDP, its probably one of the busiest highway in the Klang Valley (Maybe not as bad as Jalan Kuching or Federal Highway.). Trust me, I know. I use this road almost everyday to work. It stretches for about 40km, but my route is only from Kepong to Damansara; about 12km. 12km which would sometimes take me plus or minus 45 minutes to get to my destination. If I leave home any later than 7.10am, I'm gonna have a bad morning. Accidents makes it worst; doesn't matter if the accident is on my lane, or the opposite lane.... surprise surprise.
Traffic is especially bad during peak hours (7.00am - 9.00am & 5.30pm - 8.00pm; time varies a little from time to time). Plus, thanks to 1 Utama shopping mall, you can expect major traffic at night. I'm talking about the lane you're at when 1 Utama is on your right hand side. The traffic will be clogged on the left side of the road, just under the flyover.
Having said all that, life is not that bad all the time. During any major national holidays, you can expect better traffic. No, not at 1 Utama's lane. That's always bad.
